Spirit Airlines Ad Mocks BP Spill

And the clever/tasteless ad of the week award goes to Spirit Airlines for it's "check out the oil on our beaches" ad campaign mocking the B.P. oil spill!

Oil Shortage !?!?! Phuey!

Everyone knows the oil shortage is one of the reasons why we "rescued" Iraq. The BP oil spill is proof that the oil shortage is false.

Though this would make for a great conspiracy theory on the manipulation of gas prices, the spill was largely due to cost cutting and degreed engineers field inexperience.

BP caused the oil spill due to poor choice in concrete.

They probably used grade A concrete designed for above ground housing and buildings.
They should have used a stronger concrete designed for offshore drilling.
This is what happens when you cut corners.

Now the oil companies have a good excuse for keeping your gas prices so high.

Let's not forget the Federal Reserve's intention to ramp up Quantitative Easing and you got a recipe for an economic disaster similar to Zimbabwe (no exports) or (in the case of a country that exports) Japan in early 2000.
