DISD unfair hiring practices

If your husband, wife, father, mother or bed partner do not work for DISD not bother trying to get a job at DISD. The interview process is a joke, the hiring manager interview at three people for public record, knowing all along that they are going to pick the other employee nephew.

Unfair Hiring

Yall just not catching on to the job title "Specialist". Seems thats a fancy name togive to a nephew-brother in law- Concubine to justify giving a large salary for a job without any real responsibilities or real qualifications. If one was to look at the 360 some odd pages of the org chart, you will find alot of funny sounding job titles with familiar last names. Just look at some Departments you are familiar with and smile with amazement at names of folks assigned there you havent heard of and dont know what they actually do. Those would be the ones with the made up jobs given to the RIGHT people.

ABE UNFAIR HIRING

Congratulations Mecedes Ramirez on you New JOB as Specialist II in the ABE Department.

Well seems to me like that Dr. Torres was riding a Mercedes Ramirez after all. She just sat down and looked pretty all of the time. She too like her sister is not qulified for her new position.

Well I'm ready to talk. So you see Allen after Dr. Torres aka old mustache boy left Mercedes Ramirez has ben sitting around as an Administrative ASSistant V but soon will be the new ABE Specialist II the job was tailored for her. Mercedes current salary is $44,232 now MAKING HER A SPECIALIST II SHE WILL BE MAKING AROUND $50,000.

What really makes me is that DISD posts a job for everyone to apply but they already know who will get the job (unfair hiring practices?). Allen pull the positions off of the DISD website and compare the ABE Specialist II to other DISD Speclialist II positions and look close for the irregularities. What is wrong with the picture?

This is why DISD is in the financial state it is in everything goes to friends of friends.

Did Rawly Sanchez make a call to his friend Claudia Rodriguez to make that special accomodation?

Also all of the DISD positions are for Spanish speaker preferred is this done to disencourage others from applying.

Man Mercedes Ramirez will be making more that some of the other posted DEGREED POSITIONS that are up for grabs in ABE. What a slap in the face for people that go the extra mile but get paid less than Mercedes Ramirez who does not even have the minimal qulifications (30 college credit hours).

If you are a low life scum you will rise to the top, with the help of your consorts of unethical behavior. If you are one of them then you will never be contacted by the OPR, other than to frame the ones you need to hush! Like the Mafia!

At least the TEA is on board with the abuse of the DISD against the people who need education. They will do nothing other than twist the laws to protect the evil against Kids. I have official proof, and so I can post that without fear, except that they do know where I live..ew that is scary.

So for all of you who are educated....get it now... you wasted your time.... you need to consort with the evil empire and play the game of crime against children and people who want to do well... and English speakers need not apply, either to the jobs or to the school as a student, because they are prejudicial against anyone who is qualified and American, or a legal resident from a non Spanish country.

So if you want to earn money drop out of school and be a whore for the DISD..

ABE

Here we go again. Did anyone see the postings for the ABE positions? There is a Specialist II position (Supervisor of Operations) that only requires 30 hours of college and all of the duties are clerical, Also Regional Coordinator positions that requires 6 to 8 years and experience and a Site Coordinator position that requires 10 year of experience as well as supervisory experience that reports to the Regional Coordinator...smells fishy to me, like manufactored/designed with someone already in mind. If the jobs are only good for a year, couldn't they put some of those people who were laid off in those positions. Did the consultant write her own job description, then eliminated all of the other applicants? What's up with that?

ABE

well has anyone noticed how Rawly Sanchez is all up in the future Director's guts? And she gets all goo goo eyed over him. Rawly Sanchez is the biggest little joke in DISD. Sanchez go back to the hood were you belong with your "What's up dawg?" self you are just an educated fool, that's all. Oh!! BTW the word around town is that both Rawley and the new ABE director are working on their PHD (that is the main reason the new director will take the job) then they will elope like Emilio Castro and Delinda Mata. BTW I just found out Dr. Hernadez (the

guy who took Dr. Torres position does not live in Dallas but in Terrell maybe to hide his life style) Dr. Hernandez is also good friends and is party of the Conchis Cartel watch out ABE staff you guys are in for another bumpy ride!

You fools don't know the half of it. I hire whom I want and don't care if its my aunties best friend or my sister's lover. I just tell people there is a hiring freeze and keep the resumes that can't compete with the candidate I want and no one calls me on it. I'm not scared of lawyers. Bring it on! I've got my possie of henchmen to back me up in the administration. We do what we want and ain't know gonna tell us what to do not even that punk ass TEA (give me a break). They are scared to get into with DISD so der; get over it and go bribe someone.

Do you know that you are an educator? You might want to edit your posts before submitting them. No wonder the kids of DISD are failing miserably and unable to make it in college without having to take all remedial classes during their first year of school. What a big waste of time. You need to spend more time learning how to spell and completing a thought befor you start blasting teachers who would make a real difference. Wake up and smell the coffee,"Winky", the problem with the school district is all of the nepotistic egomaniacs that fill the halls at the administration building. For your information, "Winky", nepotism is the favoring of family or friends, and an egomaniac is a person who obsesses over themselves. By the way I am available for English tutoring. What kind of qualifications could she have in her short administrative career to get such a promotion?LOL

She has forgotten that her school was AU when she was promoted. She trying to move higher in the ranks. She will look over/do whatever she needs to do make herself look good.

Why has Mike deemed it necessary to highlight Claudia's resume to everyone? Most of who have been in DISD already know about her, no doubt she may do a pretty decent job, anything other than speaking of the truth to take the heat off of him he loves to GLOAT about. Unqualified DISD promotions friends and ex-fiancée

MOST of people the Superintendent of Dallas has hired are non-qualified without proper required experience, following Texas education rules only when taken to court. Even then gullible board will change the rules to null and void the crime.
One of the worst Principles was unqualified to be a high school Principle did despicable things to students & staff destroying futures.then she gets principal of the year, laugh out loud, gets a promotion to another job she's not qualified for. After all she's his "ex fiancée " she's always threatening people with.
The corruption runs so deep in the district that even good employees act like they are afraid of the, so-called team he has assembled that they will be send them to the KGB concentration camps (RIF).
This is the public in institution. Not the private and secret organization the superintendent has turned this into.
The only way to stop this is at voting booth, the board knows that that's why they extended their termsillegally of course.

IF you want to work for DISD at all. I was content to walk away after a decade of being disrepected and treated in horribly unprofessional ways. Teachers have no more (in fact, often less) "clout" than the students they teach. Don't get me wrong; I loved teaching the students of Dallas, especially the ones who most needed guidance from a sincere educated adult (male). The "do or die" attitude from admin down to the classrooms, in other words management through fear and intimidation, were more than I cared to bear. I did not seek to become a teacher to be treated in such a manner. That was fine when I was waiting tables on my way through school, but not after securing my degree. I was called to teach by a higher power, just as my little brother was called to the ministry. I WILL continue my professional teaching career, I WILL NOT be belittled, berated, or shipped around like so much cattle. And, just for the record, I never saw anyone at Ross Avenue that I would have considered "consorting" with just to adance my career. Thanks for your blog, Allen. I have been enjoying it since the first RIF and wanted to chime in before I sign out. I have lost interest in the DISD goings-on. Like the Zeppelin song says, "The Song Remains the Same."

I don't know why people expect education to be different from any other profession. Since birth we have been taught that it's not what you know, it's who you know. The trick to getting ahead in DISD is the same as any other business...you have to know people. It may not be right, it certainly isn't perfect, but it's the way things are.

Join a club (e.g., masonic lodge, golf) or do an activity (church) that you share with a DISD employee who may know of an opening and can get a good word in for you.
