DEA/ATF/SWAT Launch Massive Drug Raid
It started at 5:15 with a flash-bang grenade at a house in the 900 block of Peavy Road in East Dallas.
By the time the smoke had cleared federal agents, with the help of the Dallas SWAT team, had 34 year old Hector Omero Rodriguez in custody as part of a large drug bust that also netted his brother and at least 9 others city wide.
Rodriguez bought the house in May and almost immediately neighbors reported seeing a steady stream of visitors and suspicious activity. Several alerted police who, apparently, took action.
By the time it was over, multiple suspects had been tied to the ring and federal agents were involved.
According to sources inside the Department of Justice, Rodriguez and the others are being indicted on conspiracy to distribute cocaine and money laundering--and their property and money are subject to forfeiture.
Several of those arrested, including Rodriguez, have previously been convicted on drug charges and other crimes.
One neighbor had this observation: "hopefully word will get out that this is not the place to be if you're doing something shady."
A press conference is scheduled for 11:00 tomorrow.
Those indicted include:
Hector Omero (Omearo) Rodriguez aka "Guerro" and "Papalote"
Lazaro Fernando Rodriguez
Sergio Diaz
Uriel Palacios aka "Youngster"
Ava Corinna Moreno
Vicente Arcenio Lira aka "Chente"
Mark Anthony McAleer aka "Chapulin"
Rigoberto Mata, Jr.
Juan Manuel Hernandez
Tarus Shanard Murray aka "T"
Frederick R. Kay
DEVELOPING

Drug Bust Money
There are always these really large drug busts all over Dallas. Why doesn't DPD give DISD $64 million of the money confiscated and bail them out of this mess they have made for innocent, hard working teachers? Somebody call Chief Kunkle.
DEA drug bust on Peavy!
This SWAT raid is not unusual for our area, we also have another house around the corner continually raided by SWAT on Rustic Cirle and Gateway. We have had no success in getting them out of our neighborhood and I doubt this latest group at the bottom of the hill on Peavy Road will be effected in their operations either. If anyone has suggestions on how to deal with these kind of characters, I am all ears.
Drug bust help
If you don't have crime watch sset up by DPD, call them and get one. We got rid of FOURTEEN drug houses in 6 months where I live in East Dallas.
It takes time and patience, but it works!
Could They Raid 3700 Ross?
"hopefully word will get out that this is not the place to be if you're doing something shady."
We could throw in an org chart with names circled.
That was hilarious!
That was hilarious!
Wait for it!
You know... I was waiting for this :) ...Thanks for not letting me down!
